I finally got around to getting the PRO membership at Flickr. I really have no good explanation why it took so long — hell it was only $25 a year. I’ve been using Flickr for quite a while, but not for the purpose of dealing with *MY* photos. That’s all about to change. There is only one drag about Flickr: you have to upload your pictures. It wouldn’t be so bad if you didn’t have 10,000 to go through, but it takes (even over a fast connection) 30 seconds a picture if you want to send up the full resolution. I need to pare down what I am sending up.Also, sorry for the lack of updates (I’ll apologize for the plethora of updates when and if I ever start over-posting again), I’ve been busy working on a couple of ideas that are taking up all of my “free-time” (that window between 9PM and 1AM every night).
Happy Halloween.

Hey. If you want to see the pictures I’ve been taking, here’s the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ropadope/
If you’re a friend (or family), let me know your account and I’ll add you as such (NOTE: the vast majority of the photos are private for family and friends).

From yesterday’s Chicago Tribune.Theodore Roosevelt Heller, 88, loving father of Charles (Joann) Heller; dear brother of the late Sonya (the late Jack) Steinberg. Ted was discharged from the U.S. Army during WWII due to service related injuries, and then forced his way back into the Illinois National Guard insisting no one tells him when to serve his country. Graveside services Tuesday 11 a.m. at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery (Ziditshover section), 1700 S. Harlem Ave., Chicago. In lieu of flowers, please send acerbic letters to Republicans.
This will roll around the internet in perpetuity. Great stuff and so long Theodore.
