Loud Family was awesome at the 400 Bar last night. All of the beautiful people in Minneapolis Rock and Roll were there before hand for a birthday party for an ex of Ang. Gary Louris (Jayhawks, Golden Smog), Kraig (Run Westy Run, Jayhawks, Golden Smog) and Kurt Johnson (Run Westy Run), Dan Murphy (Soul Asylum, Golden Smog), and Mark Perlman (Jayhawks) all hanging out, too stupid to stay to see Scott and Loud Family. Idiots. Morons.
In the past year I’ve gotten to see Tom Waits, Alex Chilton and the current version of Big Star (BTW, Kruddler is opening for Alex Chilton at Taste of Minnesota over the Fourth of July), Kids in the Hall, Fatboy Slim, and now Scott Miller. It’s been a good year. Brings back memories of 1989-90 – Pixies, Janes Addiction, The first Lalapalooza, Smashing Pumpkins first show ever at 7th Street Entry, etc…
