Why the hell are we paying forty million dollars for a second inaguration? I realize this isn’t the first time this has happened, but it is the first time I’ve written about it in my weblog. It makes me sick to think of the of the other more valuable things we could have done with this money. Good lord.

$40,000,000?!?!
January 19, 2005it’s cold
January 14, 2005So it’s -10°F right now. It’s cold, no question. But I live in a metro area… the same metro area that I grew up in. Apparently things have changed so much in the past 20 years that they now close schools in my home town when it gets cold. District 833 for South Washington County, Minnesota decided to shut the whole thing down today.
I’m glad I don’t pay taxes there any longer. But really, what can you do? The public schools have you by the throats. There is no option but to keep paying, paying, paying. Paying for people who make decisions like this.

Here’s the newest version of the site. It’s built on Scott Watermasysk’s .Text platform that is written in C#. So far so good. Hopefully fit the bill at least for the next year or so.
